5 CSR Projects that Mighty Implemented in North Luzon

In their recent expansion, Mighty Corp. implements various Corporate Social Responsibility projects designed to uplift the lives of local farmers up north.
Due to the implementation of the Sin Tax Law back in 2012, Mighty expanded and decided to help uplift the livelihood of millions of local tobacco farmers while also helping the local tobacco industry grow.
The company implemented various CSR Projects to aid the local farmers, their children, the environment, and the tobacco industry.
To help the tobacco industry, Mighty Corp. executed these actions as part of the CSR.
1.       Increased tobacco purchase - Mighty Corp. substantially increased their tobacco purchase in order to raise the income of local farmers significantly. This will also help Mighty compete in the tobacco industry on an equal playing field.
2.       Supports the use of organic Pesticides - Mighty claimed that this move will help reduce the reliance of millions of local farmers on the use of chemical-based pesticides. Mighty said that this will not only help the environment, but will also help the farmers increase their income.
3.       Scholarship Grants for the farmers' children - Honoring their patriarch's memory, Mighty's foundation granted scholarships and educational assistance to children of local tobacco farmers.
4.       Provided tobacco dust to Fish Pond owners - Mighty also helped local fish pond owners fight predators that infest their ponds. The company provided them with tobacco dust, a fish pond conditioner, to help decrease the number of predators in their ponds.

5.       Absorbed Low-grade leaves - Mighty also purchased low-grade leaves from local farmers at very good prices. This helped the local farmers increase their income while also assuring them that their crops have a place on the local market.

According to Mighty Corp. the company's market share has significantly increased in th last years and, as a way to give back, Mighty will continually support livelihood programs for the local tobacco farmers.

As a way of giving back, the company purchased  low-grade tobacco leaves from local farmers at very decent prices. They are also plan to expand their Corporates Social Responsibility projects to help increase the production and income of local farmers.

Mighty Corp. has been recognized for helping the church spread faith and prioritizing apostolic works and educational programs as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.
“The parents of these students are low-income farmers producing only for local consumption,” the bishop said. “So you can imagine the positive impact this kind of support has for them.” according to the bishop who commended Mighty Corp.
He also commended the company's continuous support for the local farmers.

“I’m quite happy about all these projects. It’s a big lift for our farmers, not only in La Union but also the whole of Northern Luzon,” He said. “This is something very beautiful as the hand tractors and water pumps encourage our farmers to use modern methods of agriculture.”

Mighty Corp. Outstanding Corporation of the Year

Mighty Corp. is set to receive an award in this year's 40th National Management Congress.
The Philcoman Research Institute (PCMRI) will be awarding Mighty Corp. the Outstanding Corporation of the Year Award in this year's National Management Congress along with the recipients of  recipients of the Outstanding Management Leadership Award of the year, and the oath-taking of new members.
According to the chairman of PCMRI, this year's National Management Congress will feature a simple ceremony. The funds that will be saved will be allocated to for the continuous research of more important issues.
“We opted to hold a simple rite so that funds and other resources we can save can be channeled to research and further studies of important issues in politics, economics, sociology and national security,” he said.

The PCMRI is a federation of professional and technological societies, management developments, institutions, academe, business enterprises and professional managers dedicated to the development of management and improvement of its practices.

Mighty Corp. Joins Forces with Local Farmers

Mighty Corp. joins forces with farmers up north to form a formidable player in the tobacco industry.
As part of their corporate social responsibilities, Mighty plans to substantially increase their tobacco purchase from local farmers nationwide.
The company already submitted a Letter of Intent to National Tobacco Administration for the purchase increase.
“We are grateful and we are looking forward to the firm commitments of Mighty Corporation to help the 65,000 strong tobacco farmers in the Philippines with their pronouncements this year to purchase 10-million kilograms of tobacco leaves and the P10-million outreach projects for tobacco farmers,” Said the NTA representative.
He claimed that many farmers are glad that their crops will be more profitable in the local market.

“Now that we are assured of an alternative market, besides other tobacco companies, our members will again be inspired to devote larger areas to the cultivation of Ilocandia’s most important cash crop,” he said.

Mighty Corp. Supports the use of Organic-Based Pesticides

Mighy Corp. shows support for the environment by encouraging the shift from chemical pesticides to organic-based pesticide.
As a part of their coporate social responsibility thrust, Mighty Corp. urges the use of organic-based pesticides, which is actually reaping great results.
According to the president of Mighty, more and more farmers are shifting to organic-based pesticides, reducing chemicals that might harm the environment.
In addition, the company also claims that this will not only help the environment, but will also help tobacco farmers increase their income.

Mighty Corp. Shifts to Organic Pesticides

As a part of their corporate social responsibility thrust, Mighty Corp. encourages local farmers to lean towards the use of organic-based pesticides.
According to Mighty Corp.'s executive president, this movement caused the number of chemical pesticides users to decrease and allowed the users of organic pesticides to rise up. 
This movement aims to help the environment while also increasing the income of domestic farmers and extinguishing the use of chemicals as a component for pesticides.

Mighty Corp. joins National Tobacco Administration (NTA), Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna (UPLB) to support this cause.

Local cigarette manufacturer Mighty Corp. plans to substantially increase its tobacco purchase from domestic farmers nationwide.
This move was in line with their recent expansion dating back to the implementation of  Republic Act 10351 or the Sin Tax Reform Law.
This will allow Mighty to compete with in the tobacco industry on equal footing.
According to Mighty Corp.'s executive president, the company already asked permission for the planned increase of tobacco purchase.

He also claimed that this move will reassure local farmers that their crops will be profitable in the local market.
